Answer from 2025 FDD Document

  • Distribution—This segment derives its earnings from distribution and destination management services offered through ALG Vacations and the boutique and luxury global travel platform offered through Mr & Mrs Smith. Prior to the UVC Transaction, this segment also included earnings from a paid membership program offering benefits exclusively at certain all-inclusive resorts primarily in Latin America and the Caribbean. Adjusted EBITDA includes intercompany commission fee expenses paid to our management and franchising segment, which are eliminated in consolidation.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to The Standardx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the distribution segment's earnings are derived from specific services. These include distribution and destination management services offered through ALG Vacations. Additionally, the distribution segment generates earnings from the boutique and luxury global travel platform offered through Mr & Mrs Smith.

It is important to note that prior to the UVC Transaction, the distribution segment also included earnings from a paid membership program. This program offered benefits exclusively at certain all-inclusive resorts primarily located in Latin America and the Caribbean. However, this is no longer a current source of earnings for the distribution segment as of the 2025 FDD.

For a prospective franchisee, understanding the sources of revenue for each segment of The Standardx is crucial for assessing the overall financial health and strategic direction of the company. The shift away from the paid membership program indicates a change in strategy that could impact future revenue streams and business opportunities.
