What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to The Standardx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Hyatt reserves specific rights regarding access to a franchisee's computer system. Hyatt can independently access the franchisee's computer system to obtain sales information, occupancy information, and other data related to the hotel. This access is intended to allow Hyatt to monitor the hotel's performance and ensure compliance with system standards.
This provision means that as a The Standardx franchisee, you must allow Hyatt to connect to your systems and extract data. This could involve granting specific user rights or installing software that allows Hyatt to pull the necessary information. It is important to ensure that your computer systems are set up to provide this access without compromising the security of other sensitive data.
Furthermore, the FDD states that all Guest Information is Hyatt's property and part of Confidential Information. Hyatt has the right to access the Hotel's property management system and other computer systems to retrieve Guest Information without notice to Franchisee. Hyatt and its Affiliates may use the Guest Information in any manner that Hyatt deems appropriate (subject to applicable law).
