What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to The Standardx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all reviews and releases of design and construction plans and specifications must be in English. If the original documents are not in English, the franchisee is required to provide The Standardx with a written English translation. This requirement ensures clear communication and understanding during the design and construction phases of establishing a new The Standardx hotel.
This language requirement is part of the broader Design Review Submittal Process, which aims to facilitate the review and approval of design and construction plans. The franchisee is responsible for submitting all required deliverables, such as design plans and construction specifications, to The Standardx for approval. These submissions must adhere to a schedule agreed upon by both the franchisee and The Standardx, and they must be directed to the specified email address or any other address provided by The Standardx.
The need for English translations highlights the importance of adhering to The Standardx's standards and guidelines. Franchisees should factor in the potential costs and time associated with translating documents if their consultants or contractors primarily work in another language. Ensuring all documentation is readily available in English will streamline the review process and help avoid delays in project approval. This requirement is in place to maintain consistency and quality across all The Standardx franchise locations.
In summary, The Standardx mandates that all design and construction-related documents be submitted in English to ensure effective communication and compliance with brand standards. Franchisees must either prepare the documents in English from the outset or provide accurate English translations to facilitate the review and approval process.
