For The Standardx franchise, what is a pre-condition to the General Manager (GM) onboarding?
The_Standardx Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Within the time period that Hyatt reasonably specifies before the Hotel's anticipated Opening Date, the Hotel's proposed general manager must attend an orientation program virtually, at Hyatt's headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, or at another location Hyatt designates.
If Franchisee or the Management Company replaces the Hotel's general manager during the Term (subject to Section 4.2), the replacement general manager must attend the orientation program within thirty (30) days (or such longer period that Hyatt periodically designates) after assuming that position.
Franchisee must pay Hyatt's then current fee for this orientation program and any additional programs that the Hotel's personnel attend.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to The Standardx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a pre-condition to the General Manager's onboarding is attending an orientation program. The proposed general manager must attend an orientation program virtually, at Hyatt's headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, or at another location The Standardx designates. This orientation must occur within a timeframe that The Standardx specifies before the Hotel's anticipated Opening Date.
If the Franchisee or the Management Company replaces the Hotel's general manager during the Term, the replacement general manager must attend the orientation program within thirty (30) days (or such longer period that The Standardx periodically designates) after assuming that position.
The franchisee is responsible for paying The Standardx's then-current fee for this orientation program, as well as any additional programs that the Hotel's personnel attend. This ensures that the General Manager is properly trained and aligned with The Standardx's standards and procedures before commencing their responsibilities.
