For The Standardx franchise, is the Owner solely responsible for all decisions relating to the day-to-day control of the Property's operations, even with Hyatt's provision of Services?
The_Standardx Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Notwithstanding Hyatt's provision of the Services, Owner is solely responsible for all decisions relating to the field marketing, sales, revenue management, merchandising and other aspects of the day-to-day control of the Property's operations. Hyatt reserves the right to suspend Services under any applicable Schedule if Owner has failed to timely pay or perform any of its obligations under this Agreement or any applicable Schedule for so long as Owner's failure to pay or perform continues.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to The Standardx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, despite Hyatt's provision of services, the Owner retains sole responsibility for decisions related to the day-to-day control of the Property's operations. This includes aspects such as field marketing, sales, revenue management, and merchandising. Hyatt provides certain services as outlined in schedules, such as the Field Marketing Program Schedule, Central Sales Services Schedule, Revenue Management Services Schedule, Global Property Guest Services Schedule, and Digital Ancillary Services Schedule.
This means that while Hyatt offers support and services in various operational areas, the franchisee (Owner) has the final say and is accountable for the daily management and operational decisions of The Standardx hotel. The Owner must implement and maintain the System Standards set by Hyatt.
However, Hyatt reserves the right to suspend services if the Owner fails to meet their obligations under the agreement, such as timely payments or performance. This highlights the importance of the Owner's active involvement and decision-making in the hotel's operations, even with Hyatt's support services in place.
