What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to The Standardx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Hyatt will provide the Preliminary Area Program and a detailed explanation of the Design and Construction Standards to potential consultants or providers. Hyatt will also be available for additional explanations once a short list of consultants has been established.
Prospective The Standardx franchisees should note that Hyatt retains significant control over the selection and engagement of consultants. Franchisees are required to have consultants approved by Hyatt, and Hyatt may require key consultants to travel to Hyatt's offices for final interviews. This process ensures that all consultants meet Hyatt's standards and have the necessary experience for the project.
This requirement ensures brand consistency and quality across all The Standardx locations. However, it may also limit the franchisee's choice of consultants and potentially increase costs if Hyatt requires travel or specific consultants. Franchisees should discuss these requirements with Hyatt to fully understand the implications for their project and budget.
