What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to The Standardx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for several obligations regarding third-party hardware and software installed at the hotel. The franchisee must directly procure all software, equipment, and other goods required for their business operations from the appropriate third-party vendor. The Standardx will not be responsible for procuring any third-party deliverables unless they agree to do so in writing.
Furthermore, the franchisee must comply with the terms of all underlying third-party agreements, including all third-party software license agreements. This means carefully reviewing and adhering to the legal terms set by the software and hardware providers. The franchisee is also required to engage a third-party service provider to support all third-party hardware and software installed at the hotel. This engagement must be in place by the time The Standardx completes all services related to IT project management.
In summary, the franchisee bears the responsibility for procuring, complying with licensing terms, and supporting all third-party hardware and software. This ensures that the hotel's technology operates smoothly and legally, while also providing a clear delineation of responsibilities between the franchisee and The Standardx.
