We may conduct training via remote learning, or in person (in one or more visits to the Hotel), or both, as we determine in our sole discretion. These fees and expenses will vary depending on how many people attend each particular training program, how much training they need, and where we conduct training. What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to The Standardx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay the pre-opening training fees upon receiving an invoice and before the pre-opening team arrives at the hotel. These fees cover owner/operator orientation and training for hotel management and staff on the Hotel System, including training for the general manager and senior operations officer. The estimated range for these fees is $15,175 to $34,300.

In addition to the training fees, franchisees are also required to reimburse The Standardx and its affiliates for travel and living expenses associated with any on-site training programs. These expenses are estimated to range from $3,600 to $7,405, not including the tuition fees. It is important for prospective franchisees to factor in these additional costs when budgeting for the initial investment.

The FDD specifies that the amount of training needed and the location where training is conducted will affect the total cost. The Standardx determines whether training is conducted via remote learning, in person, or both, at their sole discretion. Franchisees should clarify with The Standardx the expected format and location of training to better estimate the associated costs.
