What expenses are franchisees required to reimburse Hyatt or its affiliates for regarding IT Project Management Services for The Standardx?

According to The Standardx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay an IT Project Management Services Fee as detailed in Exhibit B-1, in addition to reimbursing Hyatt or its affiliates for reasonable expenses incurred while rendering these services. These reimbursable expenses specifically include necessary transportation, lodging, and meals, along with any applicable taxes on these items. The IT Project Management Services Fee, including associated expenses, will be invoiced either upon Hyatt's completion of the IT Project Management Services or if the franchisee terminates the hotel development project or the IT Project Management Services, regardless of whether Hyatt has approved the hotel for opening.

Franchisees are also responsible for certain preparations at the hotel site related to the IT Project Management Services. These responsibilities include ensuring climate control, maintaining physical safety and security, providing adequate electrical and telecommunications utilities, and handling the wiring for all necessary equipment and devices. Additionally, franchisees must supply the workspace, supplies, hardware, and software reasonably required for each assignment related to the IT project.

Prospective The Standardx franchisees should carefully review Exhibit B-1 of the Franchise Disclosure Document to understand the specific IT Project Management Services Fee and budget accordingly for the potential transportation, lodging, and meal expenses that they will need to reimburse Hyatt or its affiliates. It is also important to note that changes to the technology systems required under the Hotel System may result in an increase to Hyatt's costs in providing the IT Project Management Services, and Hyatt shall have the right to charge a reasonable additional fee in connection therewith.
