What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to The Standardx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay the Royalty Fee to Hyatt on or before the 10th day of each month, or another date that Hyatt may specify later. The Royalty Fee amount is detailed in Exhibit B-1. Franchisees also need to pay the System Services Charges for the previous month by this same deadline.

It is important for prospective The Standardx franchisees to note that all payments for Royalty Fees, System Services Charges, and other amounts due to Hyatt must be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT). The funds must be available in the franchisee's account when due, and franchisees cannot change their bank or financial institution without first notifying Hyatt.

Late payments are subject to a fee of $225, and amounts that are more than seven days late will accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month, or the highest commercial contract interest rate the law allows, whichever is less. Hyatt also has the right to examine the franchisee's business and accounting records with prior notice to ensure accurate reporting of revenue and fees. If an examination reveals an understatement of revenue, the franchisee must pay the outstanding Royalty Fees, System Services Charges, and other fees, along with the late fee and interest, within 15 days of receiving the examination report.
