What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to The Standardx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, The Standardx will provide franchisees access to the System Standards, which they must comply with as periodically modified. The Standardx may communicate these System Standards through various means, including electronic media and/or written materials. Franchisees must continuously monitor and access any updates to the System Standards or other aspects of the Hotel System. The System Standards, along with any necessary passwords or digital identifications, are considered confidential.
This means that as a The Standardx franchisee, you are responsible for staying up-to-date with any changes to the brand's operating procedures, design guidelines, or technology requirements. The Standardx has the right to change these standards, and it is your responsibility to implement those changes in your hotel. The brand may use electronic methods, like email or a website, or physical documents to communicate these changes.
It is critical that franchisees regularly check for updates, as failure to comply with the System Standards could result in penalties or even termination of the franchise agreement. Franchisees should ensure they have reliable access to the internet and designate staff to monitor communications from The Standardx. Furthermore, franchisees must keep any access credentials for online resources secure to maintain the confidentiality of the System Standards.
This communication method is fairly standard in the franchise industry, where franchisors need to maintain consistency across all locations while also adapting to changing market conditions and customer preferences. By using a mix of electronic and written communication, The Standardx aims to ensure that all franchisees receive the information they need in a timely and efficient manner.
