However, you must buy or lease most other products and services for your Hotel according to our System Standards. We issue and modify standards and specifications based on our, our affiliates' and our franchisees' experience in operating Brand Hotels and other Hyatt Network Hotels. Our standards and specifications may impose minimum requirements for delivery, performance, reputation, prices, quality, design, and appearance, among other factors. You must ensure that the Hotel strictly complies with all applicable laws and maintains adequate insurance policy coverage in the amounts that we periodically specify. Our System Standards or other communications will identify our standards and specifications and/or names of approved suppliers.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to The Standardx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the brand will communicate its standards and specifications, including the names of approved suppliers, through its System Standards or other communications. These standards and specifications may include minimum requirements for delivery, performance, reputation, prices, quality, design, and appearance. Franchisees must ensure their hotels strictly comply with all applicable laws and maintain adequate insurance policy coverage in the amounts that The Standardx periodically specifies.
If a franchisee wishes to use a supplier not already approved by The Standardx, they must submit a written request with all necessary information and samples for evaluation. The Standardx will typically respond within 30 days after receiving all required information. The Standardx may charge the franchisee for the costs of reviewing the request. Approval may be conditional based on factors such as quality, quantity, warranties, prices, and the supplier's ability to comply with The Standardx's vendor compliance guide.
The Standardx retains the right to modify its System Standards and may revoke approval of certain goods, services, or sources if they no longer meet the standards. The Standardx may also designate specific sources, models, or brands for FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), supplies, or other goods and services deemed critical to the Hotel System. This ensures consistency and quality across all The Standardx locations, but it also means franchisees have limited flexibility in choosing suppliers and must adhere to the franchisor's guidelines.
