What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Springhill Suites By Marriott's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees will be charged a fee for services on a monthly basis. Specifically, the franchisor will charge the franchisee a fee each month on the first day of the month for the services outlined in Schedule "B" of the franchise agreement. This fee may be prorated for any partial month during which the services are performed.
In addition to the monthly service fee, Springhill Suites By Marriott may also charge a one-time set-up fee. If the hotel did not participate in the franchisor's services during the previous calendar year, the franchisor will provide set-up services as described in Schedule C and charge the franchisee the one-time fee also detailed in Schedule C. This one-time fee is due in full 60 days after the commencement date of the agreement.
The franchisee is required to pay all fees to Springhill Suites By Marriott within fifteen days of receiving an invoice. Any payments not received by the due date will be considered overdue. It's also important to note that Springhill Suites By Marriott retains the right to modify the service fee at the beginning of any renewal term, although the franchisee has the option to terminate the agreement if they do not agree with the modified fee.
