What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Springhill Suites By Marriott FDD, participation in certain programs is mandatory. Specifically, the FDD states that it is mandatory for hotels to leverage the One Yield system functionality in partnership with Marriott's Revenue Management Advisory Services. This indicates that franchisees must engage with specific Marriott programs related to revenue management.
Furthermore, as part of participation in the Multi-Hotel Sales (MHS) Shared Service Program, Springhill Suites By Marriott hotels have several responsibilities. These include supporting effective event management, making all hotel group and catering inventory available to applicable Program sales channels, and maintaining function space availability in the standard Marriott sales system. Franchisees must also direct all leads for group or catering business within the Program participation parameters to the appropriate Program sales channel and comply with standard Program business processes.
In addition to the MHS program, Springhill Suites By Marriott franchisees must adhere to certain obligations as part of Attachment B, which outlines responsibilities related to the Multi-Hotel Sales Shared Service Program. These obligations include maintaining office space for Area Sales, using Marriott's standard template materials for owner meetings, and ensuring effective event management support. The hotel must also make all group and catering inventory available to all sales channels. These requirements suggest a high degree of integration and participation in Marriott's established programs and systems.
