What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Sonesta Simply Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the brand may revoke approval of an Approved Supplier if the supplier no longer meets the criteria established by Sonesta Simply Suites or fails a reinspection. If Sonesta Simply Suites revokes approval, they will provide reasonable written notice to the franchisee.
This policy ensures that all suppliers meet Sonesta Simply Suites's standards for quality and service. The criteria for suppliers may include factors such as delivery frequency, standards of service (including prompt attention to complaints), concentration of purchases, insurance protection, the supplier's willingness to enter into indemnity and confidentiality agreements, and payment of reasonable license fees.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that the suppliers they are required to use could change if the previously approved supplier fails to maintain the required standards. While this ensures quality, it could also mean adjusting to new suppliers and potentially different pricing or service levels. Franchisees should stay informed of any changes to the Approved Supplier list and understand the reasons behind any revocations to ensure they maintain compliance with the franchise agreement and brand standards.
