What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Sonesta Simply Suites' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, one of the franchisee's Hotel Representatives must complete the initial brand training program. A Hotel Representative is defined as the general manager or another hotel representative with equivalent authority and responsibilities, such as the owner. This training must be completed before the hotel opens or within 90 days of activating the hotel in Sonesta Simply Suites' system.
The initial brand training program is up to 4 days and is conducted virtually unless otherwise determined by Sonesta Simply Suites. The cost for this training is $1,500, plus reimbursement of travel costs and expenses if the training is conducted in person, which is estimated to be up to $2,500.
If the initial Hotel Representative ceases to be employed by the franchisee, a new Hotel Representative must attend the initial brand training program. The franchisee is required to pay the $1,500 fee again for the new representative to attend. This ensures that there is always a trained representative managing the Sonesta Simply Suites hotel according to brand standards.
