What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Sonesta Simply Suites' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must offer all products and services that Sonesta Simply Suites periodically specifies in its Brand Manual. This includes products and services ancillary to the hotel's operation, such as food and beverage operations, dining, bar, lounge, retail food and beverage services, meetings, events, and catering services, collectively referred to as "Food and Beverage Operations."
This means that as a Sonesta Simply Suites franchisee, you are obligated to provide food and beverage services if the franchisor includes them in the Brand Manual. You are also prohibited from offering any products or services that Sonesta Simply Suites has not authorized and must discontinue any offerings that the franchisor disapproves of.
Furthermore, franchisees must ensure that all Food and Beverage Operations and any other approved ancillary products and services comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and Brand Standards. Training programs must be provided to service providers as specified by Sonesta Simply Suites. The franchisor retains the right to revoke approval of Food and Beverage Operations if these standards and regulations are not met.
In summary, while not explicitly mandated in all cases, Sonesta Simply Suites franchisees should anticipate the potential requirement to offer comprehensive food and beverage services as part of their hotel operations, as dictated by the Brand Manual and subject to ongoing compliance standards.
