What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Sonesta Simply Suites Franchise Disclosure Document, new franchisees are required to pay an onboarding administration fee. This fee covers the onboarding services that Sonesta Simply Suites provides to franchisees as they prepare to open their hotel as a branded location. The standard onboarding administration fee is $2,500.
However, the FDD specifies a reduced onboarding administration fee in certain circumstances. If a franchisee is acquiring an existing branded hotel and converting it to a Sonesta Simply Suites, the onboarding administration fee is reduced to $2,000.
This fee is non-refundable, meaning that franchisees will not receive this money back under any circumstances. The onboarding administration fee is due during or immediately after the onboarding process.
