What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Sonesta Simply Suites Franchise Disclosure Document, a Hotel Representative must complete the initial brand training program either prior to the hotel opening or within 90 days of the hotel's activation in Sonesta's system. The Hotel Representative is typically the general manager or someone with equivalent authority.
Sonesta Simply Suites may conduct the initial brand training virtually or at a designated location, at their discretion. The training usually lasts up to four days, but the exact duration can vary based on Sonesta's assessment of the Hotel Representative's experience and needs. If the Hotel Representative does not complete the initial brand training to Sonesta Simply Suites's satisfaction, the Franchise Agreement may be terminated.
The initial brand training covers essential aspects of operating a Sonesta Simply Suites hotel, including brand culture, the loyalty program, related software, brand programs, marketing, and sales. Sonesta Simply Suites may also require the Hotel Representative to complete the training within a specific time frame before or after the hotel's opening date. Franchisees must ensure that all personnel are adequately trained and provide verification of such training upon request.
