What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Sonesta Simply Suites Franchise Disclosure Document, all notices must be delivered in the manner outlined in the Franchise Agreement. The notices are deemed to be given on the date of delivery or the date delivery was attempted, if refused.
If a Sonesta Simply Suites franchisee fails to meet obligations, requirements, conditions, or terms outlined in the agreement or brand standards, it will be considered an event of default. The franchisee then has a period of 30 days after receiving notice of default to resolve the issue. If the default is non-monetary and cannot be resolved within 30 days, the franchisee must diligently pursue a resolution within the timeframe specified in the default notice.
Sonesta Simply Suites can terminate the agreement immediately upon notice to the franchisee if certain breaches occur. These include repeated noncompliance with the agreement or brand standards within a specified timeframe, failure to pay amounts due after written notice, or indications of insolvency. The notice of termination does not relieve the franchisee of their obligations under the agreement.
