What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Sonesta Select Sonesta Essential's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company, through a third-party vendor, offers voice reservation and auto attendant services, which are collectively known as the "Services." Under this arrangement, prospective guests who inquire about reservations may have their calls handled by reservation agents, referred to as "Agents." These Agents will book reservations and address reservation-related questions on behalf of the franchisee at a centralized call center.

Sonesta Select Sonesta Essential will engage Agents to handle reservation-related calls on behalf of the franchisee's hotel, including responding to questions about the hotel and booking reservations. A dedicated telephone number will be provided for the hotel to connect to these services, and callers will have the option to select a number for new reservation inquiries, which will then be directed to the Call Center. Sonesta Select Sonesta Essential retains ownership of this telephone number, and the franchisee must discontinue its use upon termination of the agreement.

The franchisee will be charged $4.00 for each call received by the Call Center. These payments will be made alongside the monthly fees due under the Franchise Agreement, using the same payment method. This fee is subject to adjustment no more than once per year. The franchisee is responsible for any additional setup or third-party fees associated with implementing the Services, such as configuring their private branch exchange, and will pay these costs directly to the vendors involved.
