Note 6 – You will pay us a $25 Guest Relations Fee for every guest or other complaint we receive. If the issue raised is not resolved within 48 hours of our communication to your Hotel, then the fee will be raised to $75. If it becomes necessary for us to resolve it, then the Guest Relations Fee will be raised to $125 per issue, plus the cost of the resolution (such as a refund provided to a guest). We periodically may modify our Guest Relations Fee(s).

According to Sonesta Select Sonesta Essential's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Guest Relations Fee is due 'As billed.' The amount of the fee varies from $25 to $125 per issue.
The initial fee is $25 for every guest complaint Sonesta Select Sonesta Essential receives. If the issue is not resolved within 48 hours after Sonesta Select Sonesta Essential communicates the complaint to the franchisee's hotel, the fee increases to $75.
If Sonesta Select Sonesta Essential must resolve the complaint themselves, the Guest Relations Fee increases to $125 per issue, in addition to the cost of resolution, such as a guest refund. Sonesta Select Sonesta Essential may periodically modify the Guest Relations Fee.
