What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Remax's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a user can delete their account either directly or by making a request to Remax. The document specifies that any fees paid are non-refundable. Even after account deletion, certain terms of use will remain in effect, including licenses of User Content, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
This means that Remax franchisees and their sales associates have control over their account status for platforms like Remax University. The ability to delete an account provides a degree of autonomy, but it's important to note that any upfront payments are forfeited upon deletion.
Franchisees should carefully consider the implications of deleting their accounts, especially regarding the continuity of services and the survival of specific terms and conditions. It would be prudent to understand the exact process for requesting account deletion and to confirm which terms survive termination, as these could impact future operations or legal obligations.
