What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Remax Franchise Disclosure Document, Remax Regional or REMAX, LLC will provide in-person or remote consultation and guidance relating to the RE/MAX System at the franchisee's request and expense, and at their discretion. Various educational courses and other assistance will periodically be made available in areas such as sales, fiscal management, office opening, recruiting and retention of Sales Associates, and financial planning. This consultation and guidance is not an obligation, but rather a discretionary service offered by Remax.
This means that while Remax offers support, franchisees should not assume guaranteed access to in-person or remote consultation. The availability of these services depends on Remax's discretion and the franchisee's willingness to cover the associated expenses. The FDD also mentions that Remax may modify system standards from time to time, potentially requiring additional capital investment or higher operating costs for the franchisee.
Prospective franchisees should consider this carefully, factoring in the potential costs of seeking consultation and guidance, and the possibility of changes to system standards that could impact their financial planning. It is important to inquire about the typical costs associated with these consultations and the frequency with which system standards are updated to fully understand the potential financial implications.
