What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Remax's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Remax reserves the right to implement a Component Three Continuing Franchise Fee, also known as a Technology Fee. Remax can implement this fee with 12 months' notice to franchisees.
If implemented, franchisees will be required to pay a monthly Technology Fee of up to $15 for each Sales Associate in their office during the previous calendar month. This fee applies whether or not the franchisee actually collects a technology fee from their Sales Associates. The fee is due by the 10th day of the month following the month the office opens and by the 10th day of each month throughout the remainder of the franchise agreement term.
The actual use of the Technology Fee funds will be determined by Remax, LLC at its discretion. Remax has the right to increase the Technology Fee by no more than $5 per year or decrease it once in any calendar year. Franchisees are obligated to remit the Technology Fee payments to Remax, regardless of whether they collect such fees from their Sales Associates.
