Is there a required performance level to achieve during the Remax Initial Education Program?

"Initial Education Program"). In the event of inclement weather or a national emergency, REMAX, LLC, in its sole discretion, may offer the in-person portion of the Initial Education Program virtually. Prior to attending you will be required to sign an Initial Education Participation Acknowledgment, the current form of which is attached as Exhibit A-15.
You or your principal owner are not required to achieve a stated level of performance in the Initial Education Program. Initial Education (as defined below) will be held either monthly or every other month; how frequently to offer education is in REMAX, LLC's sole discretion. You or your principal owner will be required to complete the next scheduled Initial Education Program occurring prior to the opening of the Office or within 30 days of signing the Franchise Agreement, whichever is sooner. You will be permitted to send one or more people from the Office free of charge to the Initial Education Program, provided they are appropriately reflected in our records as affiliated with your Office. You will be responsible for all travel, meal, lodging, and entertainment expenses you or anyone else from the Office incurs. (See Item 7 above.) As of the Issuance Date of this disclosure document, REMAX, LLC's Initial Education Program consisted of the following:

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Remax's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, neither the franchisee nor their principal owner is required to achieve a specific performance level during the Initial Education Program. This program is held monthly or every other month, at Remax's discretion. Franchisees or their principal owner must complete the Initial Education Program before opening their office or within 30 days of signing the Franchise Agreement, whichever comes first.
Prospective franchisees can send one or more people from their office to the Initial Education Program free of charge, provided they are properly registered with Remax. The franchisee is responsible for covering all travel, meal, lodging, and entertainment expenses for themselves and anyone else attending from their office.
In addition to the Initial Education Program, Remax also requires franchisees or their principal owner to complete a 4-day Recruiting 101 education course within 12 months of opening their office. Similar to the Initial Education Program, there is no required performance level for Recruiting 101. As of the issuance date of the 2025 FDD, the cost for the Recruiting 101 course is $599 per person, plus all associated travel and accommodation expenses.
