Remax Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Your compliance at all times with all of the material provisions of the Franchise Agreement will be required for you to be eligible for any and all incentives. If you receive an incentive and you later default in any of your material obligations under your Franchise Agreement, we reserve the right to terminate your eligibility for any and all incentives. If you fail to cure such default within the cure period provided in your franchise agreement, or if such default cannot be cured, then in addition to any other remedies available to us, we reserve the right to require you to repay on demand any and all incentives that you received from us prior to such default.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Remax's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, to be eligible for any incentives related to the initial franchise fee, a franchisee must comply with all material provisions of the Franchise Agreement at all times. Remax Regional may offer incentives such as reduced fees to qualified existing franchisees in good standing or prospective franchisees converting existing real estate offices. These incentives are offered at Remax's sole discretion and may be discontinued at any time.

If a franchisee receives an incentive and subsequently defaults on any material obligations under the Franchise Agreement, Remax reserves the right to terminate their eligibility for any and all incentives. Furthermore, if the default is not cured within the specified cure period, Remax can demand repayment of all incentives received prior to the default, in addition to any other available remedies.

During 2024, initial franchise fees ranged from $0 to $17,500 in low-density markets and from $0 to $35,000 in high-density markets. These discounts were based on factors like conversions or assistance with expansion in specific markets. This highlights that the actual initial fee can vary significantly based on individual circumstances and negotiated incentives, making it crucial for prospective franchisees to understand the conditions and potential implications of any offered incentives.
