What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Remax's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, REMAX, LLC owns all of the trademarks, service marks, and commercial symbols (the "Marks") used in operating a Remax office. REMAX, LLC has authorized RE/MAX Regional and others to use the Marks in connection with the franchising of RE/MAX offices.
In some states like Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin, RE/MAX Regional is granted a limited license to use these marks. RE/MAX, LLC also has regional agreements with Predecessor Regions, such as Integra New England and RE/MAX Indiana, which were acquired by RE/MAX Regional on July 21, 2021, giving them the right to use the marks in specific states.
REMAX, LLC maintains the right to take necessary actions to protect its rights in the Marks and set standards for their use by Remax offices. Franchisees are required to notify both RE/MAX Regional and RE/MAX, LLC immediately of any third-party infringement or challenges to the use of the Marks. Franchisees must also comply with any directions from RE/MAX, LLC to modify or discontinue the use of any of the Marks, or to use substitute trademarks or service marks, at their own expense.
