Is Remax obligated to maintain BoldTrail Back Office indefinitely, and can they discontinue, replace, or add to it at any time?

While all new and renewing franchisees are required to purchase and use the Back Office Software, you understand that REMAX, LLC may vary, waive, defer, or make an exception to the requirement to use BoldTrail Back Office Software for any reason, including, without limitation, in order to: (i) facilitate acquisitions or mergers or conversions; (ii) accommodate certain existing franchisees that acquire additional offices; or (iii) encourage expansion in certain markets. REMAX, LLC is not obligated to maintain BoldTrail Back Office—or any of the associated tools, resources, or services offered through BoldTrail Back Office as of the Agreement Date indefinitely and may discontinue providing BoldTrail Back Office, replace it or add to it, at any time without notice or liability to you.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Remax's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Remax, LLC is not obligated to maintain BoldTrail Back Office indefinitely. Remax has the right to discontinue providing BoldTrail Back Office, replace it, or add to it at any time without notice or liability to franchisees. This means that while franchisees are required to use the Back Office Software, Remax can change the software at their discretion.
This policy extends not only to the BoldTrail Back Office but also to other optional resources that Remax may offer. Remax, LLC is not obligated to maintain any of the Optional Resources—or the services offered through them indefinitely and may discontinue them, replace them, or add to them at any time without notice or liability to franchisees. These optional resources are valuable systems, programs, and platforms that Remax may make available to franchisees throughout the agreement term.
Remax also has independent access to information generated and stored on MAX/Center and the BoldTrail Back Office Software, as well as information uploaded or transferred to these platforms and stored in the integrated Intuit QuickBooks Online account. Remax can access, evaluate, use, aggregate, analyze, and take any action they deem necessary based on this information for any reasonable purpose. This includes monitoring compliance, gathering information for analysis, generating insights, providing technical support, and improving the Remax system. Remax also retains the right to sell and monetize this information without compensating the franchisee, and all such information is considered the property of Remax, LLC.
