What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Remax's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there are two tables that outline the number of Remax outlets. One table lists the systemwide outlet summary for RE/MAX, LLC, and the other table lists the status of franchised outlets for RE/MAX Regional. It is important to note that the numbers in each table may not reconcile due to overlapping fiscal years and updated methods of data collection.
For RE/MAX, LLC, the total number of outlets at the end of 2024 was 3,150. This is a net decrease of 224 outlets from the beginning of the year, which started with 3,374 outlets. This total includes both franchised and company-owned outlets. However, the number of company-owned outlets remained at zero throughout the years 2022-2024.
For RE/MAX Regional, the total number of franchised outlets at the end of 2024 was 475. This is a net decrease of 19 outlets from the beginning of the year, which started with 494 outlets. RE/MAX Regional also had zero company-owned outlets during the years 2022-2024.
It is important to note that these numbers reflect U.S. offices only. As of December 31, 2024, approximately 8.1% of all franchised outlets were Team Offices. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the reasons for outlet decreases and how Remax plans to address these changes.
