If a Remax franchisee is a general partnership, what information must be provided about each partner, including the managing partner?

According to Remax's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if the owners of the managers are business entities and not individuals, additional sheets must be attached to show their owners, their addresses (residential address, if an individual) and their percentage ownership interests until the individual level is reached.

Remax requires franchisees to complete an Ownership and Management Information form (Exhibit A). Franchisees must ensure that all information on this form is accurate and current, amending it as necessary and providing updates to Remax promptly. This includes details about the owners, their addresses, and their ownership percentages within the franchise.

At Remax's request, franchisees must provide copies of their certificate of incorporation, registration, or articles of organization, as well as copies of their by-laws, partnership or operating agreements, buy-sell agreements, and any other relevant documents Remax may request. The organizational documents of the business entity must state that the issuance and transfer of any interest therein is restricted by the terms of Section 12 of the Franchise Agreement. Additionally, all issued and outstanding stock certificates or certificates of membership interest or other evidence of ownership of any such Business Entity must bear a clause restricting transfer, indicating that the transfer of stock or other interest is subject to the terms and conditions of the franchise agreement and requires prior written approval from Remax Integrated Regions, LLC.
