For Remax franchisees using QuickBooks Online, what happens to Additional Users' access to the service and content if the Administrator closes or terminates access?

Remax Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Once an Administrator closes or terminates access to a Service, Additional Users will no longer be able to access such Service or any Content (defined in the Section A Terms) within the Service. If you are an Administrator, you agree to provide sufficient prior notice to your Additional Users of your desire to terminate access to any of the Services they access through your account. Any violation of the Agreement by any Additional User may result in the termination of an Administrator's or other Additional User's access to the Services.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Remax Franchise Disclosure Document, if a Remax franchisee who is the Administrator of a QuickBooks Online account closes or terminates access to the service, all Additional Users will no longer be able to access the service or any content within it.

This means that any staff members or other individuals who were granted access to QuickBooks Online through the franchisee's account will immediately lose their access. The franchisee, as the Administrator, is responsible for providing sufficient prior notice to these Additional Users about the termination of their access. This is to ensure that Additional Users are aware of the impending change and can prepare accordingly.

It is important to note that any violation of the agreement by an Additional User may result in the termination of access for both the Administrator and other Additional Users. This highlights the importance of ensuring that all users are aware of and comply with the terms of the agreement. Additionally, Remax, LLC will have independent access to the information stored in the Intuit QuickBooks Online account that is integrated with BoldTrail Back Office.
