All of this information shall be considered the property of RE/MAX, LLC and no such information shall be considered confidential. There are no limitations on REMAX, LLC's or RE/MAX Regional's right to access information that is stored in the Optional Resources.
Education
You or your principal owner will be provided with an approximately 4 day, mandatory initial education program at REMAX, LLC's headquarters in Denver, Colorado, as well as up to three 90 minute mandatory coaching calls spaced over the 3 months following your attendance of the in-person portion of Initial Education Program (collectively, the in-person sessions and the follow up calls are referred to as "Initial Education" or "Initial Education Program"). In the event of inclement weather or a national emergency, REMAX, LLC, in its sole discretion, may offer the in-person portion of the Initial Education Program virtually. Prior to attending you will be required to sign an Initial Education Participation Acknowledgment, the current form of which is attached as Exhibit A-15.
You or your principal owner are not required to achieve a stated level of performance in the Initial Education Program. Initial Education (as defined below) will be held either monthly or every other month; how frequently to offer education is in REMAX, LLC's sole discretion. You or your principal owner will be required to complete the next scheduled Initial Education Program occurring prior to the opening of the Office or within 30 days of signing the Franchise Agreement, whichever is sooner. You will be permitted to send one or more people from the Office free of charge to the Initial Education Program, provided they are appropriately reflected in our records as affiliated with your Office. You will be responsible for all travel, meal, lodging, and entertainment expenses you or anyone else from the Office incurs. (See Item 7 above.) What This Means (2025 FDD)

Franchisees must sign an Initial Education Participation Acknowledgment prior to attending. Additionally, franchisees or their principal owner must take a 4-day Recruiting 101 education course within 12 months of opening their office.
Remax ensures the quality and relevance of these programs through experienced instructors and updated materials. The Initial Education Program covers a broad operational spectrum, including recruiting and growth methods, fiscal management, trademark and graphic standards, and exposure to approved suppliers. Teaching methods include course workbooks, digital files, and audio-visual materials. Remax also provides a workbook addressing topics such as recruiting and retention, with the ability to modify existing segments and add additional segments over time.
The classroom coursework for the Initial Education Program is facilitated by Sydney Jones, Braden Washburn, and Joe Keck, along with guest presenters. The Recruiting 101 course is facilitated by Ben Fairfield and/or Todd Foster, as well as possible guest presenters. These instructors have extensive experience in real estate and with Remax, ensuring that the training programs are relevant and beneficial for franchisees. While attendance at the annual convention and educational conferences is optional, Remax encourages franchisees to participate in these events to enhance their knowledge and network within the Remax system. Franchisees are responsible for all costs associated with attending these optional events.
