What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Remax Franchise Disclosure Document, the current Franchise Agreement supersedes any previous agreements between RE/MAX Regional and the franchisee. This means that the terms and conditions of the new agreement will take precedence over those of any prior agreements.
The agreement includes a release where both RE/MAX Regional and the franchisee agree to discharge each other from claims, disputes, damages, or liabilities arising from previous franchise agreements. This release is conditional, however, as it excludes any monies owed to RE/MAX Regional at the time of renewal. Therefore, any outstanding debts or financial obligations to Remax must be settled, and the new agreement will govern the relationship moving forward.
This clause provides clarity and finality in the relationship between Remax and its franchisees, ensuring that all parties are governed by the most current terms. Franchisees should carefully review the new agreement to understand any changes from previous agreements and ensure all outstanding financial obligations are resolved to avoid any future disputes.
