What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Remax's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must pay a $500 Team Office renewal fee to renew a Team Office amendment. This fee is non-refundable. To renew the Team Office amendment, the franchisee must pay the renewal fee at least 90 days prior to the expiration of the Franchise Agreement and execute the amendment form Remax is then using. The new amendment will supersede the existing one and may contain materially different terms.

In addition to the renewal fee, Remax franchisees must also pay a $100 monthly ongoing team office fee. This fee is due on the 10th day of each month. Remax has the right to increase the monthly ongoing team office fee once per calendar year, but the increase cannot exceed 20% of the current fee.

Team Offices operate as a branch of the main Remax office and must comply with all terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreement. However, Remax is not obligated to provide Team Offices with the same services and benefits as the main office. Team Offices also do not have a protected area or territorial exclusivity.

It is important to note that the Team Office concept may be discontinued at any time, in which case no renewals will be granted. Therefore, prospective franchisees should consider this risk when deciding whether to establish a Team Office.
