What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Remax's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the RE/MAX Gold Plan offers benefits to Sales Associates who have dedicated a significant amount of time to the Remax system and are looking to reduce their involvement in real estate activities. To be eligible for the RE/MAX Gold Plan, Sales Associates must meet specific criteria related to their tenure with Remax, ownership status, leadership roles, income, and age.

To participate in the RE/MAX Gold Plan, a Sales Associate must have been in the Remax system as a Sales Associate or broker associate for at least 10 consecutive years. They cannot own or have any ownership interest in any Remax franchise, nor can they be a leader of any Remax team. Additionally, their gross commissions earned during the last fiscal year must not exceed $75,000, which requires submitting a Form 1099 for verification. The Sales Associate must also be at least 65 years old.

The franchisee must identify eligible Sales Associates by March 15th of each year using provided forms and supply any necessary supporting documentation to verify their eligibility. Remax reserves the right to deny participation if a Sales Associate is not identified promptly, if the required documentation is missing, or if the Sales Associate does not meet all eligibility requirements. Upon approval, these Sales Associates may receive reduced monthly ongoing fees and marketing fund fees in exchange for their continued affiliation with Remax on a less than full-time basis.
