What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Remax's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Remax, LLC has the sole option to discontinue the use of any RE/MAX Marketing Content at any time. As a franchisee, you must comply with this and take any required action to discontinue using the content when asked. This includes content on websites, marketing and promotional materials, and social media.
This means that Remax has full control over its brand's marketing and can change its strategies or specific content as needed. For a franchisee, this implies a need to stay updated with Remax's directives and promptly remove any marketing materials that Remax no longer approves. This could involve updating websites, reprinting marketing collateral, or altering social media posts.
Furthermore, franchisees must adhere to the RE/MAX Brand Identity Trademark and Graphic Standards manual when using marketing content. They are also responsible for ensuring that their marketing and advertising activities do not harm or devalue the Remax brand. Franchisees must also comply with any expiration dates for the marketing content and remove expired materials. If a franchisee modifies the RE/MAX Marketing Content, they assume all liability for any claims arising from that usage, including copyright infringement or misleading advertising.
