What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Red Wagon Club's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee bears the responsibility for third-party interfaces between the Technology System and the franchisor. This means that even though the franchisee is required to use and maintain the Technology System according to Red Wagon Club's standards, the franchisee is ultimately accountable for ensuring that the system connects properly with both Red Wagon Club's and any third-party computer systems.

This allocation of responsibility has significant implications for prospective franchisees. It means that if any issues arise with the interface between the franchisee's Technology System and Red Wagon Club's or a third party's system, the franchisee will be the one responsible for resolving them. This could involve additional costs for troubleshooting, software updates, or even engaging third-party IT support to ensure compatibility and proper functioning.

Furthermore, the FDD states that the franchisee is solely responsible for any consequences resulting from the Technology System not being properly operated, maintained, or upgraded. This underscores the importance of franchisees ensuring their Technology System is up-to-date and functioning correctly to avoid any disruptions or issues with data exchange between systems. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these responsibilities and factor in potential costs and time commitments associated with managing the Technology System and its interfaces.

In summary, while Red Wagon Club sets the standards and specifications for the Technology System, the franchisee is the point person for ensuring its connectivity and proper interfacing with other systems, bearing the risks and costs associated with this responsibility.
