Does the Site Selection Addendum for My Salon Suite provide any territorial rights?
My_Salon_Suite Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
If you have not obtained an Approved Location at the time you enter into your Franchise Agreement, then you must enter into our "Site Selection Addendum" which is attached to the Franchise Agreement as Attachment B and agree to find an Approved Location within the site selection area we designate. The Site Selection Addendum does not provide you with any territorial rights. We will identify your Approved Location on the Data Sheet to your Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to My Salon Suite's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Site Selection Addendum does not provide any territorial rights. If a prospective franchisee has not secured an approved location when signing the Franchise Agreement, they must also enter into My Salon Suite's Site Selection Addendum. This addendum, included as Attachment B to the Franchise Agreement, requires the franchisee to find an approved location within a designated site selection area.
While the Site Selection Addendum itself does not grant territorial rights, the Franchise Agreement does provide a "Protected Territory" once a location is approved. The boundaries of this territory are determined by My Salon Suite and are based on the specific location. The typical Protected Territory is described as a radius of 2 miles from the front door of the franchise location, although this can vary based on location and demographics.
It is important for potential My Salon Suite franchisees to understand that the initial Site Selection Addendum phase does not offer any territorial protection. Territorial rights are only established once an approved location is secured and defined in the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees should carefully consider the location and its potential Protected Territory before finalizing their agreement.
