What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to My Salon Suite's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Section 4.B of the Franchise Agreement outlines the conditions for renewal or extension of the franchise term. If a franchisee is in good standing and meets other requirements, they may be able to enter into two consecutive renewal terms of 10 years each.

Sections 4.A through 4.B of the Franchise Agreement detail the requirements for a franchisee to renew or extend their franchise. To renew, a franchisee must provide notice of renewal no fewer than 9 months and no greater than one year before the end of the current term. They must also demonstrate that they can continue operating at the approved location or secure a substitute location acceptable to My Salon Suite.

Additionally, franchisees must complete all necessary maintenance, refurbishing, renovations, updates, and remodeling to comply with My Salon Suite's current standards for new franchisees, including hardware and software updates. Franchisees must not be in breach of any agreements with My Salon Suite, its affiliates, or approved vendors and must be in substantial compliance with these agreements. All monetary obligations to My Salon Suite, its affiliates, and approved vendors must be satisfied.

Furthermore, franchisees must execute the then-current form of the franchise agreement, which may contain materially different terms and conditions, such as higher royalty fees and brand building fund contributions. Franchisees must also meet the then-current training requirements for renewing franchisees at their own expense before the renewal date, execute a general release in favor of My Salon Suite and its affiliates, and pay a renewal franchise fee equal to 15% of the then-current initial franchise fee.
