Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We may schedule and hold an annual conference, as we deem advisable in our sole discretion, to discuss the current state of the Franchise System, improvements to the Franchise System, hold discussion forums for Franchise System franchisees, and recognize certain franchisees.

In the event we schedule a conference, we require you to attend for up to three (3) days each year and pay our then-current registration fee (Section 8.H. of the Franchise Agreement).

If you do not attend the conference we will charge you the thencurrent registration fee and a fee for non-attendance.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 My Salon Suite Franchise Disclosure Document, the annual conference is held, as deemed advisable by My Salon Suite, to discuss the current state of the franchise system, improvements to the franchise system, hold discussion forums for franchisees, and recognize certain franchisees.

My Salon Suite requires franchisees to attend the conference for up to three days each year and pay the then-current registration fee. If a franchisee does not attend the conference, My Salon Suite will charge the franchisee the then-current registration fee and a fee for non-attendance.

This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as conferences provide a valuable opportunity for franchisors to communicate important updates and for franchisees to network and share best practices. The mandatory attendance policy ensures that all franchisees stay informed and engaged with the My Salon Suite system. The fees associated with the conference, both for attendance and non-attendance, are a cost that prospective franchisees should factor into their financial planning.
