What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 My Salon Suite FDD, the franchisor has the right to modify or supplement lists of required purchases and approved vendors, which may be contained in the Manual or provided in writing. Additionally, franchisees may be required to view and print portions of the Manual, including any updates or modifications, through a System-wide area computer network, intranet system, or extranet system implemented by My Salon Suite. Franchisees are required to comply with any updates to the training program within sixty (60) days of receiving updates to the Manual.
My Salon Suite also retains the right to determine if a franchisee is meeting a required standard and whether an alternative is suitable to any recommendations or guidelines set forth in the Manual. To protect its interests in the System and Marks, My Salon Suite reserves this right. The standards outlined in the Manual are designed to protect My Salon Suite's interests in the System and the Marks, rather than to control the day-to-day operations of the franchisee's business.
These stipulations mean that while franchisees must adhere to the standards and guidelines in the Manual, My Salon Suite retains the authority to update and modify the Manual as necessary. Franchisees are responsible for staying current with these changes and ensuring their business operations comply with the latest requirements. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as it allows the franchisor to maintain consistency and quality across all franchise locations while adapting to changing market conditions and industry best practices.
