How long does My Salon Suite have to notify a franchisee of approval or disapproval of advertising materials?
My_Salon_Suite Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
If you wish to use any advertising or promotional materials other than those that we have previously approved or designated within the preceding 12 months, then you must submit the material you wish to use to us for our prior written approval at least 20 days prior to publication. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of our approval or disapproval of your proposed materials within 15 days of the date we receive the materials from you. If you do not receive our written approval during that time, however, the proposed materials are deemed disapproved, and you may not use such materials. Once approved, you may use the proposed material for a period of 90 days, unless we: (i) prescribe a different period for use; or (ii) require you to discontinue using the previously approved materials in writing. We may require you to discontinue the use of any advertising or marketing material, including materials we previously approved, at any time (Section 9.D. of the Franchise Agreement).

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to My Salon Suite's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wants to use advertising or promotional materials that haven't been pre-approved or designated within the last year, they must submit the materials to My Salon Suite for written approval at least 20 days before they plan to use them. My Salon Suite will then use commercially reasonable efforts to notify the franchisee of their decision within 15 days from the date they receive the materials.
If My Salon Suite doesn't provide written approval within that 15-day timeframe, the materials are automatically considered disapproved, and the franchisee isn't allowed to use them. If the advertising materials are approved, the franchisee can use them for 90 days, unless My Salon Suite specifies a different usage period or requires the franchisee to stop using the materials in writing.
My Salon Suite retains the right to demand that a franchisee stop using any advertising or marketing material, even if they previously approved it. This allows My Salon Suite to maintain control over brand messaging and ensure consistency across all franchise locations.
