How does My Salon Suite identify the Approved Location for my franchise?
My_Salon_Suite Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You must operate your Franchised Business from the Approved Location. Although we may assist you in selecting a location for your Franchised Business, you are solely responsible for selecting the Approved Location and negotiating the lease or purchase term. You are not guaranteed any specific Approved Location, and you may not be able to obtain your top choice as your Approved Location. If you have not obtained an Approved Location at the time you enter into your Franchise Agreement, then you must enter into our "Site Selection Addendum" which is attached to the Franchise Agreement as Attachment B and agree to find an Approved Location within the site selection area we designate. The Site Selection Addendum does not provide you with any territorial rights. We will identify your Approved Location on the Data Sheet to your Franchise Agreement. You may not relocate your Franchised Business without our written consent, which we will not unreasonably withhold provided: (i) the new location is located within the Protected Territory and meets our then-current criteria for an Approved Location; and (ii) you pay our then-current relocation fee (if any).

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to My Salon Suite's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Approved Location for your franchised business is identified on the Data Sheet attached to the Franchise Agreement. While My Salon Suite may offer assistance in selecting a location, the franchisee is ultimately responsible for choosing the Approved Location and negotiating the lease or purchase terms.
If a franchisee hasn't secured an Approved Location when signing the Franchise Agreement, they must also sign My Salon Suite's Site Selection Addendum. This addendum, included as Attachment B to the Franchise Agreement, requires the franchisee to find an Approved Location within a designated site selection area. It's important to note that the Site Selection Addendum does not grant any territorial rights.
Once an Approved Location is established, a franchisee cannot relocate their My Salon Suite business without written consent from the company. This consent will not be unreasonably withheld if the new location is within the Protected Territory, meets the current criteria for an Approved Location, and the franchisee pays any applicable relocation fees. This ensures that My Salon Suite maintains control over the placement and standards of its franchise locations.
