Does My Salon Suite guarantee assistance with site selection and build-out of the Franchised Business?

A. Site Selection and Build-Out Assistance. Franchise will provide assistance, as it deems appropriate in its sole discretion, in connection with selecting the Approved Location and constructing and/or building out the Franchised Business, as described more fully in Section 7.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to My Salon Suite's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, My Salon Suite will provide assistance with site selection and build-out, as it deems appropriate. However, this assistance is not guaranteed, as it is at My Salon Suite's sole discretion.
Specifically, the franchisee is solely responsible for locating an approved location and securing a lease. My Salon Suite may provide its site selection criteria in writing and may assist in evaluating a potential location and reviewing the lease terms. If My Salon Suite deems it necessary, a representative may visit the proposed location for an on-site evaluation, for which the franchisee must reimburse reasonable expenses. The franchisee must propose a location within six months of the agreement's effective date, and My Salon Suite will use commercially reasonable efforts to approve or reject the location within 15 business days of receiving all required information.
Furthermore, franchisees are required to pay a $5,000 project management fee to My Salon Suite for assistance with design, service bids, the bid process, service management, and a job site visit if deemed necessary. Franchisees may also be required to obtain a site survey and architectural site inspection of the build-out. If the franchisee requires more than two site assistance visits, they may incur additional costs. For franchisees converting an existing business to a My Salon Suite franchise, they agree to bear the costs for all necessary alterations, modifications, and improvements.
