What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to My Salon Suite's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to the System Standards and other requirements that My Salon Suite may periodically prescribe for operating a Franchised Business. These System Standards encompass mandatory and suggested specifications, policies, standards, safety requirements, operating procedures, and rules that My Salon Suite periodically sets. These standards are put in place to maintain consistent quality, attract and retain clients, and preserve the goodwill associated with My Salon Suite's Proprietary Marks.
The System Standards are detailed in the Manual or other written materials provided by My Salon Suite. These materials may include guidelines and recommendations in addition to the required standards. Franchisees have the option to follow these recommendations or guidelines, or they may choose a suitable alternative, provided they meet the required standards. However, My Salon Suite retains the right to determine whether a franchisee is meeting a required standard and whether any alternative approach is suitable.
My Salon Suite has the right to periodically supplement, improve, or modify the System and System Standards, and franchisees must comply with all changes, including the offer and sale of new or different products or services through the Franchised Business. Franchisees are also required to purchase specific items and services, including salon equipment and beauty supplies, according to the System Standards and from My Salon Suite's approved vendors. These lists of required purchases and approved vendors are provided to the franchisee and may be modified or supplemented at My Salon Suite's discretion.
For franchisees converting an existing business to a My Salon Suite franchise, there are specific obligations related to meeting System Standards. Within 45 days of signing the Franchise Agreement, franchisees must make all alterations, modifications, and improvements to the premises as reasonably requested by My Salon Suite. This includes replacing signage and trade dress, meeting current System Standards, replacing written materials with approved materials, and obtaining necessary equipment and software. Franchisees must also cease non-approved advertising and replace it with advertising approved by My Salon Suite using the Proprietary Marks.
