What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to My Salon Suite's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally restricted from independently advertising online using the My Salon Suite name. The FDD states that franchisees cannot establish or operate any internet site using the 'My Salon Suite' name or any variation of it. The franchisor retains the exclusive right to advertise on the internet and create websites using the 'My Salon Suite' name. This ensures that My Salon Suite maintains control over its brand image and online presence.

While franchisees cannot create their own websites using the My Salon Suite name, they may be able to advertise online with the express written consent of the franchisor. However, My Salon Suite retains the right to revoke approval of any previously approved advertising or marketing materials, and the franchisee must stop using such materials upon receiving notice of revocation from the franchisor. This allows My Salon Suite to maintain control over how its brand is represented in online advertising.

My Salon Suite also reserves the right to require franchisees to include specific language on all advertising used locally, such as "Franchises Available" and a reference to the franchisor's telephone number or website. This ensures consistency in messaging and helps promote the franchise opportunity. Franchisees should be aware that any plans and materials submitted to My Salon Suite for review become the franchisor's property, with no restrictions on their use or dissemination. This further emphasizes the franchisor's control over marketing and advertising materials.

In summary, while franchisees have limited ability to independently advertise online using the My Salon Suite name, they may be able to do so with the franchisor's express written consent, which can be revoked. Franchisees must adhere to the franchisor's guidelines and requirements for advertising to maintain brand consistency and promote the franchise opportunity effectively.
