What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to My Salon Suite's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee will occupy the premises of the Franchised Business under a lease, the franchisee must take specific steps before signing the lease. First, the franchisee must provide the lease for the proposed site to My Salon Suite for evaluation and approval, and the franchisee must obtain this approval from My Salon Suite. Second, the franchisee needs to execute the Conditional Assignment of Lease and ensure the lessor executes the Consent and Agreement of Lessor, using the forms attached to the franchise disclosure document.
My Salon Suite's approval of the lease may depend on including specific terms and conditions that My Salon Suite reasonably requires. These conditions could cover various aspects of the lease agreement.
Meeting these requirements is crucial for a prospective My Salon Suite franchisee because failure to comply with these conditions can lead to delays in opening the franchise or even termination of the franchise agreement. Therefore, franchisees should work closely with My Salon Suite during the site selection and lease negotiation process to ensure all requirements are met before executing the lease.
