What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to My Salon Suite's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must satisfy the then-current training requirements for renewing franchisees at their sole expense prior to the renewal date. This is one of several conditions My Salon Suite franchisees must meet to renew their franchise agreement.
Other requirements include providing notice of renewal no fewer than 9 months and no greater than one year before the end of the term. Franchisees must also demonstrate that they have the right to operate the franchised business at the approved location for the duration of the renewal term, or secure a substitute location acceptable to My Salon Suite if they cannot continue at the original location.
Additionally, franchisees must complete all maintenance, refurbishing, renovating, updating, and remodeling of the franchised business premises, including updates to required hardware and software, to comply with My Salon Suite's then-current franchise system standards and specifications for new franchisees. They must not be in breach of any agreement with My Salon Suite, its affiliates, or approved vendors, and must satisfy all monetary obligations to these parties. Franchisees must also execute the then-current form of franchise agreement, which may have materially different terms and conditions, including higher royalty fees and brand building fund contributions, and execute a general release in favor of My Salon Suite and its affiliates. Finally, franchisees must pay a renewal franchise fee equal to 15% of My Salon Suite's then-current initial franchise fee for a franchised business.
