Who determines if a My Salon Suite franchisee is meeting a required standard?

According to the 2025 My Salon Suite FDD, the franchisor reserves the right to determine if a franchisee is meeting the required standards. These standards are put in place to protect My Salon Suite's interests in its system and marks, not to control the franchisee's day-to-day operations. The standards are generally found in the manual or other written materials provided by My Salon Suite.

While My Salon Suite provides recommendations and guidelines to meet these standards, franchisees may explore suitable alternatives if they still meet the required standards. However, My Salon Suite retains the authority to assess whether these alternatives are acceptable. This ensures that even with some flexibility, the franchisee still maintains the integrity of the My Salon Suite system.

To acknowledge this understanding, a franchisee must sign a Training and Joint Employer Acknowledgment, which is included as Attachment F to the Franchise Agreement. This highlights the importance of adhering to the system standards and recognizing My Salon Suite's role in maintaining those standards across all franchise locations.
